We are currently seeking a Senior IT Systems Analyst

Overview:

Under the guidance of a project leader, manager, or director, assists with planning, evaluating, selecting, testing, implementing, operating, and supporting assigned application systems. Assists in the development of project plans, schedules, cost/benefit analysis, and staffing estimates. Prepares and presents project status reports to various audiences. Coaches and trains other Information Technology Systems Analysts. Works closely with other IT staff, SRHS personnel, and IT vendors to optimize the quality and cost effectiveness of assigned application systems.

Qualifications:

Bachelor?s degree or equivalent education/experience in hospital information systems. Minimum of 5 years experience installing and supporting health care information systems required. Proficient knowledge of personal computers, hospital software applications, and Microsoft Office software applications. Departmental systems are vendor-based applications that support department specific services solutions. 

The position is a key member of the management leadership team of Virginia Mason Medical Center?s Information Systems department and works closely with all levels of management in the planning and prioritization of departmental projects. This position ensures that departmental solutions are consistent with our Integrated Information Systems strategy. 

Direct responsibilities include leadership of a 5 person team of Systems Analysts who provide support for the review and selection of vendor solutions, develop the hardware configuration in accordance with vendor and internal standards, facilitate cost estimates, facilitate security assessments, support the implementation of the hardware and software solution, including testing, backup and production support, in addition, this team is responsible for assisting with any interface specification, design, testing and customer acceptance. Work with departmental customers to establish service level agreements along with maintenance and support standards to ensure ongoing support. 

The following hiring guidelines will be used in recruiting candidates to this position: Bachelor?s degree in information systems management or a related field is required; five to seven years of increasingly responsible information systems management experience, healthcare related experience preferred; strong project management capabilities; and excellent communication skills. Knowledge and experience of various hardware, operating systems, databases, networking, interfaces and connectivity is required. Knowledge of information security regulations and standards as applies to these solutions is essential.
